LASER SCANNING

Laser Scanning is an advanced survey technique which captures the 3D geometry of buildings, objects, sites and infrastructure. The raw data consists of millions of precise 3D points which are processed to create an almost limitless range of specific and industry standard deliverables.

The laser scanning data capture process is extremely safe and efficient with an extraordinary amount of detail collected in a short space of time. Our scanners collect millimetre precision data at extremely tight intervals which ensures we always capture enough data to model even the most intricate detail.

This data is then correlated and processed by our in-house laser scanning department to deliver high accuracy BIM models, drawings, scaled photos and many more custom designed and traditional deliverables to suit your needs.

The benefits of laser scanning:

Speed. The rapid capture of accurate data from a 3D laser scanner allows millions of data points to be recorded in seconds. This enables large environments can be surveyed in a short timescale.

Detailed documentation. The 3D data captured through the scanning process is so comprehensive that almost every detail is recorded.

Cost and time savings.  This is achieved through fewer man-hours on site, minimal disruption and downtime.

Non-contact and non-invasive. Ideal for sensitive objects or environments with minimal to no physical interaction needed. This ensures that damage, disruption and displacement of sensitive items is an almost non-existent risk.

Versatility. The versatility of 3D laser scanners allows for multiple applications, from measuring buildings and land to generating video fly-throughs.
